Allan M. Bahn graduated from the University of Massachusetts and Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to entering private practice he had a distinguished career in New York City government.
Mr. Bahn started his legal career as a law clerk in the Massachusetts Superior Court prior to joining the New York County District Attorney’s office in 1989. There he distinguished himself in the trial and rackets bureaus prosecuting multi-national drug organizations and organized crime groups operating in the construction industry. He has tried dozens of complex felony cases.
Mr. Bahn thereafter served in the New York City Department of Investigation as Inspector General for the Departments of Design & Construction and Transportation. There, he led investigations into municipal and contractor fraud and corruption. Mr. Bahn was subsequently recruited by the Mayor’s office to serve as Deputy Commissioner for Facilities and Construction and Special Counsel in the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS).
Allan M. Bahn practices in the areas of construction, civil and white collar criminal litigation and contracts. Mr. Bahn also focuses his practice in the areas of governmental relations and internal integrity investigations for corporate clients. Mr. Bahn frequently serves as an owner’s representative on construction and development projects in the New York metropolitan area. He has been a consultant on such notable projects as the AOL/Time Warner Center project, Museum Tower/Museum of Modern Art Reconstruction, and the YMCA Vornado development on West 63rd Street in Manhattan.
Mr. Bahn is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in New York and Massachusetts.
